Wild dog attacks on the rise

LAND owners in the Ramornie area believe recent floods might be the cause for an increase in wild dog attacks in the region.

Ramornie resident Kathleen Davies said a pack of around five wild dogs have been attacking her neighbours' stock in the past week.

"We thought the problem had eased considerably, but obviously the floods have forced these animals to come close to us again, or are they domestic/ferals from landowners - who knows for sure," Ms Davies said.

"These latest dogs are not afraid of people and are quite bold and vicious."

More on this shortly.
