A SOLID crowd turned out for the 99th annual Goombungee-Haden Show last weekend.
Miss Darling Downs Alexandra Turner opened the proceedings which included displays of cookery, needlework, photography, farm produce, woodwork and metalwork, scrapbooking, schoolwork and floriculture.
Always popular, the chainsaw events attracted spectators as did the sideshow alley.
As always there was a great variety of livestock on show ranging from poultry, championship dogs, boer goats, stud beef and led steers, horses and pigs, and for the first time this year prime lambs.
They were later sold along with the pigs at one of the few sales of this type left among Queensland shows.
A wonderful variety of entertainment during the day proved to be a hit for young and old alike and continued into the evening with the inaugural Goomden Cup.
