IT WAS a test of the best when riders took to the green to compete in show jumping at the Heritage Toowoomba Royal Show.
On Friday, Matthew Kidson from Southbrook competed on Finch Farm Chill in the Mini Prix competition and came fourth overall.
The category was won by Kirstie Ansell on Balou.
Show jumping judge Joan Schafferius said judges looked for clean rides with little to no mistakes.
"We look for clear rounds with no penalties," she said.
"The round is timed, so it's the fastest who wins the prize."
Riders came from around the state to compete in a variety of events throughout the week.
