THE bulls were bucking hard and the beer was flowing fast at Bundaberg's second Beerfestabull event at the weekend.
People flocked from near and far to attend the event run by Clint Jensen, who said he was thrilled with how things went.
"It was absolutely amazing," Mr Jensen said.
"We're still counting (attendance numbers) but we know we're up by about 30% from last year.
"We think we'll be close to 17,000 people."
Mr Jensen said the feedback had been great from those who had attended the event at the old Bundaberg showgrounds.
"Looking on social media, it's all really positive," he said.
"I haven't come across anything negative."
Mr Jensen said a Facebook competition held during the event had revealed more than half of the people in attendance had come from out of town.
"I'd say about 60% were from out of town," he said.
"We're going to look at doing one in Sydney, too, so we'll have a big city one."
Mr Jensen said he would be happy to hold the event again in Bundaberg if he could get the appropriate support from the authorities.
"It was a great day and a great night," he said.
"Almost all of the alcohol was sucked dry."
Mr Jensen said there were some clear standouts.
"The bull ride was really good," he said.
"PBR is the top of the line - the finals are in Mexico.
"And Adam Brand and John Stevens went off - the crowd loved them."
When the NewsMail asked on Facebook what people thought of the event, the response was a positive one.
"It was a great day out," Shanyn Limpus wrote.
"The entertainment was brilliant."
Laura O'Neill agreed, congratulating the organisers on the well done event.
"It was such a great time," she said.
"My kids had a ball, loved the bull rodeo."
