QCWA Texas Branch was formed in 1926, although now few in numbers is still one of our very active branches in Border Division, who carry on the spirit of the association.

With thanks to a grant from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, the inside and outside of the hall has been painted and front steps replaced, the roof is to be repainted as soon as weather permits.

The flat attached to the rear of the building, now rented privately, was originally a waiting mothers hostel.

The branch has donated birthing kits to help mothers in developing countries; we are so blessed in this country to have safe and affordable maternity services.

Texas Branch members also have made generous donations to Cancer Fund, Texas State School, Texas Show Society also donated $200 to the State Disaster Fund for Flood Relief.

The branch has assisted a family who tragically lost their home in a house fire.

Members are proud of the fact that a photo of the QCWA Texas rooms is in the local show schedule thus promoting QCWA in the local district.

President of Texas Branch Anne Fomiatti invites women of the district to come along to and join the local branch.

She said newcomers to the QCWA Texas Branch will always be given a warm welcome and enjoy the company and friendship of other ladies.
