SAFETY is Joanne Cherry's main concern when it comes to her customers at Tabulam Rural Agents.
That is one of three reasons the small business won the national Elgas Distributor/ Agent of the month award.
While agents are judged on their sales, customer service and safety, Ms Cherry said safety was the main priority for their business.
"We are focused on people getting their gas safely," she said.
This was highlighted when they received their award.
Elgas Lismore manager Bruce Lyle underlined the safety aspect.
"The storage and delivery points for Tabulam Rural Agents are well maintained and are kept in an organised fashion," he said.
"Our delivery staff can safely and easily access the return cylinders after unloading another load."
While the small distributor is not considered one of the 'big boys' this has not been a problem with them growing their market share.
"The business holds two Elgas accounts that operate for both cylinders and refiller requirements," Mr Lyle said.
He said their achievements were solid in both areas.
With the team at Tabulam being extremely customer focused, taking pride in servicing their clients, he said it was no surprise they had received this award.
Soon to be in their eighth year of running the business Ms Cherry and her husband Brian Wah are very pleased and proud to have received such an acknowledgement.
