Rare opportunity of V8 heifers

BRAHMAN stud breeders will have an opportunity to purchase heifers with genetics not available at any other sale at the Hamdenvale Summer Sizzler Heifer sale to be held on Sunday, December 1.

Stud principal , David Deguara, said the third annual heifer sale would be held on the property at Simla, about 50km west of Mackay on the Peak Downs Highway.

"I'm really pleased with the quality of the heifers on offer and Lot 5 Hamdenvale Bernadette 803/6 is an imported embryo, straight from the heart of the V8 herd in Texas, who arguably, have the best Brahman female herd in the world,'' he said.

A real value package would be lot 1, an exceptional cow and calf unit, Hamdenvale Courtney, a full Hudgins bred female, with a PBF Lincoln Manso heifer at foot and seven months in calf to our latest USA import sire, JDH Roma Manso 713.

Mr Deguara said this cow's dam had produced bulls which sold to $75,000 and females to $20,000.

Lot 4 is Hamdenvale Anika, by Hamdenvale's USA sire, JDH Alamo Manso 126 and is the only heifer by this sire in the sale with her two full embryo sisters retained by the stud.

Hamdenvale provides 22 of the 30 lots being offered at the sale, which had a total of 32 lots, including three semen lots.
