AFTER months of anticipation Raffles the purebred nine-month-old kelpie pup finally has a new home.

Breeder and donor Jack Dwan said he had been working with her from a young age as part the Bush Telegraph "Win An Elwanvale Kelpie" promotion.

"She has been working with sheep and I have done some training with her," Mr Dwan said.

"I hope she goes to a place where she can work and go on with her training - she would get restless otherwise."

Winners Graham and Nancy Hoey were blown away.

"We didn't think we would win," Mrs Hoey said.

"It's like winning lotto. We will certainly look after her and we have friends who live on farms where she will be better off."

Mr Hoey agreed.

"We'll do what is best for her and if that means finding her a more suitable home that's what we will do," he said.
