QCWA offers student bursaries

QCWA Condamine Valley/Warwick branch is offering two $1000 bursaries to students who will complete Year 12 this year and begin tertiary studies next year.

The students' home address must be in the QCWA Border Division, which covers all the secondary schools to Year 12, and includes Clifton, Warwick and Stanthorpe, QCWA Condamine Valley/Warwick Branch president Judy Bilbrough said.

"All Year 12 co-ordinators of these schools have been advised of the two $1000 bursaries in 2014 and we are hopeful that applications from full time students proceeding from Grade 12, and who would be experiencing financial difficulties, will apply," she said.

Applicants are to submit written proof of achievement; written proof of financial difficulty; three character references; details of continuing course; and a short (500 words) resume of achievements and future aspirations.

The bursaries are administered by QCWA State Office at 89-95 Gregory Tce, Brisbane. and either male or female students are welcome to apply.

Applications close on January 31, and must be forwarded to QCWA State Office.

For further inquiries, contact Mrs Bilbrough on 4661 4206 or branch secretary Mrs Penny Campbell-Wilson on 4667 0386.
