Orchard walk this week

SOUTHERN Downs orchardists keen to develop their knowledge of irrigation and plant nutrition are invited to a Stanthorpe orchard walk on Friday.

The local walk will be co-ordinated by horticultural consultant Stephen Tancred, who will talk about how nutrition is key to producing quality fruit.

Wild dog webinar

COMING to grips with the wild dog issue will be the focus of a webinar on Friday, November 15, from 12.30-1.30pm.

Presenter AgForce wild dog co-ordinator Brett Carlsson will look at the ecology and biology of wild dogs and the impacts of hybridisation, current control methods and new tools on the horizon.

The webinar will also discuss how the establishment of local wild dog committees has improved control programs.

Stanthorpe farm seminars
