MONTO Cattle and Country's annual All Breeds Bull Sale saw 95 bulls yarded, with 86 selling to an average of $3320.
Tania and Nicole Hartwig, Tanic Charolais, Glandore, Monto, topped the Saturday, September 8, sale at $7000, selling to Monto graziers Peter Aisthorpe and Jenny Williams, Monal Grazing.
Other highlights included Ken and Cathy Marsh's Lot 31, Quirran-Lea Fagan (P), selling to Geoff Maynard, 5 Star Senepol, for $6750.
The Marsh Family averaged $4315 for two senepol bulls and two senelais bulls. Charbray bulls met with strong demand: long-time vendors Les and Anne Marshall, Greenfields, Jambin, averaging $5165 for three bulls, with Red Factor sire Greenfields Redman selling for $6000 to Wes and Eleena Wolff, Monto.
Doug and Juanita Birch, Birch Droughtmasters, Eidsvold, sold seven droughtie bulls to top at $5000 and averaged $3600. Darby Blackley, Gunda Park Angus, sold 12 angus bulls to average $3333, topping at $4750.
Monto Cattle and Country thanked vendors, bidders, under-bidders and staff for a successful sale.
