THE dry weather continues in Maryborough and the CCS maintains an upward trend with the CCS for the season to date rising to 14.40.
Last week the mill crushed 35,616 tonnes at CCS of 15.58.
Highest CCS for the week was 18.10 from a block of Q208 R1 from the Nikenbah area.
As at October 16 the Maryborough Sugar Factory had crushed 479,177 tonnes of the estimated crop of 580,000 tonnes although it now looks likely that the mill will crush close to 600,000 tonnes with a finish date in the first week of November.
CCS performance of major varieties for last week was as follows: Q138 4,752 tonnes at 15.24, Q208 15,159 tonnes at 16.12, KQ228 2,632 tonnes at 15.82, Q232 2,732 tonnes at 14.97, Q238 1,890 tonnes at 15.38.
