NEW South Wales Primary Industries Minister Katrina Hodgkinson has launched the Local Land Services (LLS) website - www.lls.nsw.gov.au, saying it delivered on the government's promise to put the customer at the centre of the LLS business.
"The site replaces the previous Catchment Management Authorities and Livestock Health and Pest Authority sites, bringing LLS business to one easy-to-navigate point," she said.
"This site has been many months in the making, providing a single port of call for information and services provided by LLS, while offering tailored information for each region as a gateway to regional pages.
"At www.lls.nsw.gov.au users can enrol to vote, identify their local office, staff and for the first time will be able to pay their rates in the future.
"The new online home for LLS provides both statewide and regionally specific information, and has been tested by farmers and land managers prior to launch to ensure the website is user-friendly.
"The strength of the LLS website is its focus on each of the regions, providing locally relevant updates, information and publications regarding agricultural advice, plant and animal pest control and biosecurity, natural resource management and emergency management."
Ms Hodgkinson said LLS is now just weeks away from starting formally.
"This new organisation will usher in a new era of regional service delivery in NSW," Ms Hodgkinson said.Chair of the LLS Board of Chairs, John Macarthur-Stanham, said information on the recently announced LLS board elections including nominations for board member positions and the process of enrolling to vote, is available on the website.
"The website is a stand-out example of web design coupling the latest developments in information delivery and business operations," he said.
