GRANITE Belt nature photographer Sandra McEwan likes nothing better than looking at the world through a lens.

So a two-day photography course at Girraween, which included a camp out, was every bit the trigger happy local's idea of a perfect weekend.

"It was just a great weekend, there were a group of us, including people from Warwick and I think we all left feeling we had learnt something," Ms McEwan said.

"In this case it was a very inspiring weekend."

Photographs from the workshop as well as a collection of Ms McEwan's work from her travels this year will be on exhibition in Stanthorpe this weekend.

Ms McEwan will host her "New Beginning" exhibition with work from Stanthorpe artist Graeme Schreiber at the Stanthorpe Plaza on September 27, 28 and 29.

All work from both artists will be for sale.
