CALLING all pumpkin growers.

The Kyogle Pumpkin Festival is holding another big pumpkin growing competition and growers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to enter.

Seedlings will be available in the second half of October to help growers produce the best Atlantic Giant pumpkin in time for the grand weigh-in at the festival in the first week of March 2013.

Local giant pumpkin growing legend Tidge Knight will be donating the seeds for the competition.

"Start with stockpiling manure and compost, and get the growing area ready early," he said as a starting tip.

The seeds will be from his prize winning pumpkins and there are a limited number available.

There will be cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placing in the competition, so dig a hole and reserve your seedling now at kyoglepumpkin@sky

mesh.com.au or 6633 1383.
