AFTER 40 years behind the wheel and 24 years in business, well-known Allora truckie Graeme 'Yogi' McMillan has pulled on the handbrake for the final time.

He reversed his Mack cab over prime mover 500 Ultra Liner, grey in colour with blue and white trims and bull bar, trailer attached, into the Forde St shed of McMillan Carriers for the last time on Thursday.

But before he did, Glyn Rees joined him for one final run in the 42-tonne truck and trailer that has provided Graeme and his wife Marie with a comfortable income and helped raise their three sons.

That last delivery was 25t of barley to a goat farm behind Ellinthorp and "the truck that has been part of the McMillan family for over two decades seeming to know exactly where it was going".
