It’s Game On for rodeo riders

HE HAS launched himself out of a chute 53 times, but no daring cowboy has ever gotthe best of Game On.

Living up to his name is his game, but that hasn't stopped a long line of state, national and international adrenaline buckers from tightening their grip on the mammoth beast.

That grip is set to be tested again on December 7 at the Blue Mountains Hotel in Toowoomba where Game On will be the crown bull at the Carlton Mid Bull Ride Series event.

Organised by Australian Leisure and Hospitality Group, and emerging bullride entertainers Mellers Fellas, the December 7 round has already attracted some big names from the international bucking arena.

But the major drawcard, Mellers Fellas' co-owner Luke Mellers said, was Game On.

"He's just an amazing bull - it's awesome to watch him," he said.

"He is my uncle's bull from BK Bucking Bulls and we're all extremely proud of how he's been performing around the circuit."

The winner of the open bull ride will get his chance to best Game On.

The Blue Mountains Hotel's outdoor arena overlooking the Toowoomba Range escarpment will play host to what organisers are tipping to be a crowd of more than 2000 people.

"There's been similar crowd numbers to that at other bullride events in Toowoomba," ALH operations manager Sally Lee said.

"The Carlton Mid Bull Ride Series will appeal across demographic and age profiles.

"The day will be a family friendly day with a kids corner including jumping castle, face painting, and a visit from some special Christmas guests."

"It's a little bit of Christmas, country style," Mr Mellers said.

Included in the program of events is a night of live entertainment from renowned country artists Sunny Cowgirls following the bullride.

Gates open at 2pm. Tickets available online from Ticketmaster or from the Blue Mountain Hotel.
