THEY have grown super-fine wool and now the Goodrich family from Warroo Station, west of Stanthorpe, are trying their hand producing "super plums".
The Queen Garnet Plums, bred by the Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry, make up the core crop at the family's Good Rich Fruit Company orchard.
Queensland Agriculture Minister John McVeigh visited the property for the start of the first commercial harvest yesterday.
The 75,000 QGP tree orchard is expected to yield 200 tonnes of the super plums.
