Gympie cattle sales

SULLIVAN Livestock yarded 790 cattle at the Gympie Cattle Sale Thursday April 4, where the market remained firm.

Cattle was drawn from Eidsvold, Maryborough, Woolooga, Kilkivan, Booubyjan, Conondale, Eumundi and local areas.

Heavy feeder steers sold to a top of $1.56 for droughtmaster steers from Mark Pagett returning $735.

Charbray steers two years from John McClintock sold for $1.55 or $769. Charbray steers 18 months from Bennett and Blight, Imbil sold for $1.66. Droughtmaster steers 16 months sold for $1.65. Droughtmaster steers 12 months from the Hedberg Family, Kandanga sold for $1.82.

Droughtmaster steers 12 months from the Sutherland Family, Wonga sold for $1.82. Charbray steers 8 months from Will McEwan, Cooran sold for $1.85 or $519. Limousin x steers eight months from D & T George sold for $1.89 or $499.

Brahman cross steers six to eight months from the Baker Family, Eidsvold sold for $1.89, $1.89 and $1.87. Charbray cross steers from Peter and Joy Jenkinson, Holroyd, Booubyjan sold for $1.91 or $440. Droughtmaster cross steers from Elizabeth King sold for $1.96 or $424. Light santa weaner steers from the Atthow Family, Kilkivan sold for $2.08.
