THE Isis Mill is still on target to process 1,450,000 tonnes for the 2012 season with 64,608.44 tonnes processed for the week.

The past eight weeks have been ideal for harvesting which is reflected in throughput figures and the mill has now processed 667,110 tonnes this season.

While the dry weather has been ideal for harvesting, irrigation is now necessary on early harvested blocks and the recently planted cane.

Filterpress demand for delivery in early spring has been high but orders are still being taken.

GOOD weather for harvesting has continued during the week ending September 16, resulting in Bundaberg Sugar mills crushing 95,098 tonnes.

Bundaberg Sugar grower services officer Bruce Roberts said throughput at the Bundaberg mills in the past four weeks totalled 388,719 tonnes, averaging 97,180 tonnes a week.

"We have crushed approximately 46% of our estimated crop for this year," he said.

"This is a promising result given the wet weather delays experienced earlier this season. Fine weather has contributed to maintaining good CCS results."
