AGFORCE Queensland has set its sights on discovering the industry's next generation of agricultural innovators in the search for the next worthy recipient of the Peter Kenny Bursary.
The memorial bursary, which will provide $10,000 to the successful applicant, was created by AgForce to honour Peter Kenny's contribution to the rural sector and communities.
Mr Kenny's passion for the agricultural industry and collaborative nature made him one of Queensland's most innovative agri-political leaders.
To be eligible to apply for the bursary, applicants must be turning 18 in 2014 and/or under 30 years of age as of December 31, 2014; have a current application submitted or gain acceptance to or be enrolled in an agriculturally based undergraduate or postgraduate degree at an Australian university or an agriculturally based accredited course/qualification with a Australian Registered Training Organisation and be available to commence course/study/university or continue university, as the case may be, in semester 1, 2014.
