THE 2017 season of the Noonamah Rodeo is set to go off with a bang as country music star Adam Harvey takes the stage to entertain thousands of rodeo lovers on Saturday, May 6.
The multi-award-winning country legend takes the rodeo to an exciting new level of professionalism, and is testament to the Noonamah Rodeo's position as one of the best rodeo series in the country.
Organisers said it was just the beginning of a huge season of rodeo events.
They have been working hard in the off-season to ensure 2017 will be bigger and better than ever, with many new additions to the annual program, as well as introducing an online ticketing system, making access easier for the large crowds that continually turn out to the events.
Harvey will take to the stage at 10pm, after the rodeo action is over, and the audience can expect to be blown away by the eight times Golden Guitar winner, who describes his country music fans as "one big family”.
Noonamah Tavern marketing manager Spokz Wheeler said they were always trying to improve each rodeo.
"Our online ticketing means entry to the rodeo will be easier and quicker,” he said.
"Punters who buy their tickets online will have their ticket scanned, receive a wrist band and be able to walk straight in.
"There are even season passes at a huge discount available for the first time."
Season tickets must be purchased before May 5 to receive the discount.
As always, there is some huge action happening in the ring also, with Dallas Livestock's unridden feature bull Guns N Roses once again testing out some of the Top End's best riders.
Bull riding, saddle broncs, freestyle motocross, burn-out competitions and a mechanical bull will round out the night, with free camping available to those wishing to party the night away, and free Metro mini buses running back to Palmerston and surrounds at 10.30pm and 1am.
