Toowoomba pig sale
THE top-priced pig sold for $920 at the FarmFest week Purebred and Commercial Pig Sale last week. Held at the Pig Pavilion at the Toowoomba Showgrounds, auctioneer Bernie Coonan said it was a good turnout in the lead up to the Ag Show sale being held on September 6.
There were 50 pigs up for grabs, with a boar from Pinedock Stud at Casino fetching the highest price of the day.
Owners James Dockrill said they would be back again selling at the next sale in September. Three studs took part including Pinedock, Punjab and Beulah.
