SUNCORP Bank has added to its agribusiness team in Dalby, with Kevin Curran appointed district manager and Patrick Heagney appointed agribusiness manager.
Suncorp Bank executive manager business banking for south west Queensland David Littleproud said the appointments were great news for local business and agribusiness customers as well as for Suncorp Bank.
"Kevin has 30 years experience in the banking sector, and brings with him a wealth of commercial and agricultural knowledge gained working in rural NSW, the ACT and South Australia," Mr Littleproud said.
"Born and bred on a fruit farm in Yenda, NSW, Kevin is well-versed in the issues faced by rural and regional customers," he said.
"Patrick has been with Suncorp Bank Rockhampton for the past 18 months, following a period working as an auditor with an accounting firm, which has provided him with a strong financial background.
"Growing up on a cattle property in Uralla, NSW, followed by exposures to beef cattle and grain during his time spent working in Rockhampton has provided Patrick with a deep understanding of the agribusiness industry.
"Both Kevin's and Patrick's experience and passion for working closely with clients will be an asset to Dalby's Suncorp Bank team," Mr Littleproud said.
Mr Curran said he was enjoying getting to know his new clients and colleagues and was exploring the opportunities that existed having joined Australia's largest regional bank.
"The Suncorp Bank brand is well-known throughout Queensland and I am proud to have joined a bank with such a strong history supporting rural and regional customers and communities," he said.
Mr Heagney said he was particularly looking forward to working in the growing centre of Dalby.
"I am excited about the prospect of working with the many agricultural and commercial enterprises across the region and the opportunities this will create," Mr Heagney said.
