Roma store sale
GOOD numbers of restocker buyers at Roma's Store Sale were optimist about winter seasonal conditions and as a result young, light steers going back to the paddock improved slightly in price.
A total of 3266 head were penned at the sale on Tuesday.
Feeder steers in the 400-550kg range topping at 208c/kg and averaging 180c/kg, while steers in the 350-400kg range reached 206c/kg and averaged 173c/kg and steers in the 280-350kg range reached 224c/kg and averaged 202c/kg.
Weaner steers in the 220-280kg range reached 230c/kg and averaged 210c/kg, while weaners under 220kg topped at 214c/kg and averaged 196c/kg.
Tyson Leahy, Felicia Park, Wallumbilla, sold angus-cross steers to 230c/kg for 274kg to return $632 a head.
The Proud family, Jutaya, Roma, sold angus-cross steers to 224c/kg for 340kg to make $762 a head.
Killarney Park Grazing, Tambo, sold santa steers to 226c/kg for 270kg to return $610 a head.
Consolidated Pastoral Co, Isis Downs, Isisford, sold charolais-cross steers to 222c for 306kg to make $680. They also sold Charolais-cross heifers to 186c for 271kg to make $506 a head.
Golden Pastoral Holdings, Nullin, Yuleba, sold charolais-cross steers to 219c for 280kg to return $613 a head.
Brett Conroy, Penrose, Roma, sold hereford-cross steers to 208c/kg for 344kg to make $716 a head.
The Mobbs family, Wallambank, Bollon, sold charolais-cross steers to 208c for 406kg to make $845 a head.
The Ruddy family, Cooladdi, sold santa-cross steers to 204c/kg for 360kg to return $735 a head.
