LOCAL cattle sales presented reduced numbers due to the rain and 535 head of quality cattle were sold at the Sarina Prime and Store sale on June 27.
Both Sarina and the Nebo Show and Sale on the previous day were missing about 200 head of cattle due to the rain.
The yarding consisted of 270 steers, 220 heifers, 30 cows and 10 cows and calves.
Cattle were mainly drawn from coastal areas and met solid competition.
The crowd at the Sarina sale was boosted by a big attendance of school children enjoying the opportunity to attend the sale with parents.
The second Hayes & Co Saturday Sarina cattle sale will be held on July 14 at 11am and the next combined agents Nebo Prime and Store Sale will be on Tuesday, July 17 at 10am.
