Coffee lovers unite for reading
FARMERS love a good coffee as much as any latte-sipper from the city.
Some even grow and roast their own beans.
Let's face it, without farmers there would be no coffee.
The problem we at Rural Weekly have noticed is that when we go to our favourite coffee spot, there are plenty of newspapers but none that are rural.
This is a common problem nationally in the cities and even in rural areas.
We have therefore decided to help issue the Great Cafe Challenge.
This is where readers take the initiative and ask their favourite coffee "watering hole" if they will stock the Rural Weekly for their customers to read.
Cafe owners are also encouraged to get in touch with us and we can arrange for
you to receive copies each month.
The Great Cafe Challenge is happening all around Australia and there is even a Facebook page at facebook.com/GreatCafeChallenge.
We'd like to hear from readers and cafe owners if they know of any cafes that do stock the Rural Weekly or who should.
Feel free to provide photographic evidence, "like" their Facebook page and generally continue drinking the coffee that farmers grow.
You can get in touch with us at rural@northernstar.com.au or if cafe owners would like to stock the paper call Kellie on 6620 0506.
