August 9: Rich Land Wasteland meet the author meeting at the Rockhampton Environment Centre, Haigh Park at 7pm. Author Sharyn Munro exposes the real story of coal - how people are hurting, and rebelling, as coal pushes into unthinkable areas; how the true costs really stack up against the benefits of our mining boom and what's really happening to those individuals and communities who are ultimately paying the price. August 28: Moura free landholder CSG information session from 9am-1pm, open to all producers. Preparing to negotiate a CCA? This workshop is focused on providing key legislative information to landholders who are, or may become, impacted by CSG activities, including an understanding of the Land Access Code. Landholders that have not attended before are encouraged to attend as general information will be discussed as well. Registrations are required 10 days prior to event. Assists you with state vegetation legislation, understanding its regulations and exemptions, plus how to secure cleared farming areas or dispute incorrectly mapped areas through a Property Map of Assessable Vegetation.
